New analysis by Labour shows that two thirds of poorer home owners will have to pay more towards their care under Boris Johnson’s new proposals.

The Tories are imposing a punishing tax hike on ordinary working people that does nothing to ensure more people get the care they need or improve services.

Instead, their plans for social care have been exposed as a con that only protects the homes of the wealthiest people in the country.

Now we know even fewer people with low and modest assets will be protected from having to sell their homes to pay for care, especially in the Midlands and the North. Elderly people deserve much better.
