Working to end hunger in the city

Feeding Leicester is the programme to end hunger in the city and I have chaired this work for the last four and a half years.

At our last meeting we heard from local hospitals who are having to provide free and low-cost food to patients, visitors and staff, and from Leicester’s two universities who are helping students also struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

Leicester City Council also told us about the brilliant work they are doing to provide free food and activities for children during the school holidays.

We will continue to work together to help anyone struggling to access food so they don’t go hungry, and provide advice so people get the money they are entitled to. For more information, click here.
