It was a pleasure to visit Beaumont Leys School in Leicester West to speak to teachers and students about the upcoming academic year. I spoke to year 11s who were so passionate about what they want to do in the future, whether that’s further study or other training opportunities. We also spoke about the safety of students in our community here in Leicester. Young people should feel safe, and I look forward to working with schools and other leaders in the community to ensure anti-social behaviour doesn’t lead to our young people not fulfilling their potential.
