Residents in Mowmacre have set up a new lunch club with funding from the Abbey Ward Community Fund. The club will offer healthy, low cost meals for around 50p every Friday from 12 – 1pm at the Tudor Centre on Bewcastle Grove.

It was great to see so many people of all different ages at the lunch club’s launch. When people are really struggling to make ends meet, or are stuck isolated at home, local community initiatives like this can make a real difference.
