On Thursday 23 October I appeared on the BBC’s Newsnight programme to discuss NHS England’s five year plan for the health service. This excellent report rightly says there will need to be big changes to NHS and social care services, and extra resources, to ensure our care system continues to meet the needs of patients and their families in future.
