On February 27th, I launched Nottingham Labour’s manifesto alongside council leader Jon Collins.
I was proud to see the incredible things Nottingham are achieving thanks to its Labour council, even under a Tory-led Government. From reducing unemployment by more than a quarter to reducing anti-social behaviour by 50%, Nottingham Labour has stuck to its promises and delivered.
The new manifesto builds on this success, with plans to ensure that every child in Nottingham is taught in a school judged good or outstanding by OFSTED and to build 2,500 new, affordable homes – as well as transforming social care and commuting to paying all social care staff the living wage.
These changes will make a real and practical difference to people in Nottingham. Now we need to elect a Labour government that will give Nottingham the powers and support to go further.
