Campaigning for decent local bus services

IMG_1317

On Friday 20th May I held a community meeting in Braunstone Frith to hear people’s views about the changes that First Bus has made to local bus services. Residents are really concerned that these changes will make it harder for elderly and disabled people to go into town or visit their GP, and for those who depend on local buses to get to work.

The Number 12 has been in service for many years and has become part of the local community. That is why I will be working with First Bus, Leicester City Council and other bus companies to see what can be done to ensure Braunstone Frith has the bus services it needs. You can read more about this story here.

If you have concerns about changes to First Bus services, please do get in touch with my office either by writing to 42 Narborough Road, Leicester, LE3 0BQ, via email at liz.kendall.mp {at} parliament(.)uk or phone on 0116 2044980.
