As a member of the House of Commons Select Committee for Communities and Local Government I’ve been questioning the Government about the lack of funding for social care.

The growing funding gap means that many elderly and disabled people are not getting the care they need and their families are struggling to cope. The lack of good quality social care is also piling further pressure on the NHS, as people end up having to go into hospital when they don’t need to.
