I recently had the privilege of speaking at a joint meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Learning Disability, Autism, Complex Needs and Dual Diagnosis.
The meeting was organised to launch Learning Disability Coalition’s “Care in Crisis” report which shows the terrible impact of this Government’s cuts to local councils budgets on the quality and availability of services for people with learning disabilities.
We also discussed the “Agreeing Together” contract which sets out the changes that need to be made over the next ten years to make life better for people with learning disabilities. I’d encourage everyone to sign up to this contact and promote it amongst your friends and family too.
