Liz hosts public meeting on crime around the Narborough Road

I’ve been contacted by a number of constituents who are concerned about crime around the Narborough Road area, so I recently held a public meeting with local residents to discuss the problem with Inspector Ant Dales and Councillor Andy Connelly from Westcotes ward.

People said they are really concerned about an increase in burglaries, anti-social behaviour and drug taking and dealing in the area. When incidents like these flare up, it is vital that the authorities act quickly and decisively so that people aren’t afraid in their own homes. I will continue to work closely with the police and city council to make sure we crack down on these crimes, hold those responsible to account, and take preventive action wherever possible, like installing alley gates and CCTV. You can read more about the meeting here.
