Today I joined campaigners from Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) for their “day of action” in Leicester city centre.

Hundreds of thousands of women have had their retirement plans scuppered by changes to the state pension age brought in by the Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government. Despite a huge campaign and the brilliant work of the WASPI campaign, the Conservatives have refused to budge.

If I am re-elected on June 8th I pledge to continue supporting WASPI and to work in Parliament to find a solution for the women affected.
