I was delighted to celebrate achievements of apprentices at Samworth Brothers in Leicester this National Apprenticeships Week.
They’ve achieved so much and have a great future head of them. I’m determined to ensure more of my constituents have these opportunities so they can build a better life for themselves, and help boost the local economy.
But these opportunities are declining under the Tories. In Leicester alone, apprenticeship starts have fallen from 3,010 in 2012/13 to 1,840 in 2022/23.
