Just after the General Election I received a wonderful letter from Esther Stevenson – a year five pupil at St Mary’s Fields Primary School – arguing that the voting age should be lowered to ten. I was so impressed by Esther’s letter that I went to visit her and her classmates to discuss the issue, and to talk to them about what it is like being an MP.
