Today I have pledged my support for Leicestershire Police’s CEASE campaign which aims to eradicate child abuse and sexual exploitation in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The CEASE campaign has four key aims:

• To raise public awareness of child sexual exploitation
• To educate people how they can spot the signs of potential abuse
• To increase the number of cases reported to police and the authorities
• To prosecute more offenders

Child sexual exploitation is an appalling crime which sees vulnerable young people deliberately targeted and preyed upon and we all have a responsibility to help tackle it. You can read more about this story here
