We desperately need more good quality, affordable housing in Leicester West. So I was delighted to visit a new development of 28 new homes on Crawford Close that’s being built by Westleigh and the East Midlands Housing Group. The development includes 11 two bedroom houses, which are in really short supply, 4 one bed houses and 4 one bed flats.

All the homes are being built to high spec energy efficiency requirements. They also have gardens, sheds, and parking spaces. I was particularly pleased to hear that Westleigh also offer apprenticeships, offering young people the chance to work and train on the job.
