It was fantastic to visit Leicestershire County Cricket Club to see the work they are doing to support local residents with education and other vital facilities.

It’s also inspiring to hear that more and more young women are getting involved through the club. 

During the visit, I spoke with the Club’s CEO, Sean Jarvis, about the increasing number of women and girls playing cricket and the Club’s future development plans. I also tried my hand at batting with women’s Captain Rebecca Booker!

I’m grateful to everyone for their hard work and I look forward to working with them locally in Leicester.
