Liz visits social care services in Leeds

I recently went to Leeds to see the work their local Council is doing on social care.

I visited Bramley Elderly Action, a fantastic voluntary group that runs exercise classes, craft groups and social clubs so older people can meet new friends and stay active.

I also met with staff and users at the Leeds Centre for Integrated Living, a not for profit organisation that helps older and disabled people manage their Personal Budgets for social care.

I will be encouraging our City Council to look at the work of the Centre for Integrated Living to see what Leicester could learn from their experience.
