Last week I visited residents of The Burns flats, who have been impacted by problems with the district heating system, which has had catastrophic effects during this cold period.
I spoke with the council who have advised me that impacted residents are eligible for an electric heater. I am told the council have agreed to credit residents energy accounts £10 a day, until the heating issue is resolved.
Drop-in sessions are being held at the New Parks library by the council to sort this payment. The next is Saturday 18th at 10am-1pm.
I have been assured that contractors are working as quickly as possible to resolve this situation.
