I recently visited Voluntary Action Leicester to meet with people who have benefited from taking part in the VALUES project .

VALUES helps people with learning disabilities get skills, training, work and other opportunities and support. I have seen first-hand how brilliant the project is through knowing Sandeep Kaur Kooner, who volunteers in my constituency office.

One of the things we discussed at the meeting was how personalised budgets can help give people with learning disabilities more choice and more of a say about the services and support they get. I really support personal budgets and want to make sure they work well for all my constituents who get them.
