The significant parking problems on the streets around Narborough Road led to the Westcotes Parking Scheme. I think this scheme requires further work to address the needs of local businesses, but it has helped many of my constituents who live in the area. A few months ago, I received a petition calling for the Westcotes Parking Scheme to be extended and the City Mayor agreed to consult local people on this proposal. I received a range of responses during the consultation, I believe that parking schemes can only be a small part of the plan to ease parking issues around the west end.
