Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has proposed removing a fire engine from Western Fire Station in January 2016. I wanted to see for myself how this would impact the station and the service it offers to my constituents.
I had a tour of the station and then I met with a group of firefighters to listen to their concerns. I will continue to put pressure on the Combined Fire Authority to insist they put the removal of the engine on hold.
