On Wednesday 30th July I went out with residents of the flats on Aikman Avenue to look at the parking issues that are causing real problems in the area. I invited City council officers from housing and transport along to give residents the chance to put forward their views, and ensure officers see at first hand the issues local people are facing.
The officers have committed to repairing some of the most dangerous areas of the pavement, and to look at options to improve parking and reduce traffic speed.
