Nine million pensioners will receive Winter Fuel Payments this winter. 

All pensioners with an income of, or below, £35,000 a year will benefit from the payment. 

The payment of £200 per household, or £300 per household where there is someone over 80, will be made automatically this winter.   

The government took the tough but necessary decision last year to cut the Winter Fuel Payment for pensioners who don’t receive pension credit.  

The government has listened and acted to expand eligibility, so that no pensioner on a low income misses out.  

Labour has fixed the foundations of our economy. It is right that people feel the benefit.
