Liz visits Gilmorton Food Bank

    Huge thanks to Alan Potter and the lovely team at the Gilmorton foodbank, located at the Gilmorton Community Rooms,  helping local residents during these difficult times. The foodbank operates every other Friday, has been running for 11 years and helps 30 people on a fortnightly basis.

Food and drink is the UK’s biggest manufacturing sector – larger than automotive & aerospace combined. So it was great to visit Walkers crisps in Leicester (who produce 11m crisp packets a day!) to discuss their skills needs, and meet local staff, apprentices and graduate trainees.
