Liz talks to Fullhurst pupils about our ageing population

Year 8 students at Fullhurst Community College have been looking at the challenges of our ageing population as part of their geography studies. They invited me in to hear their thoughts and ideas about how we can better meet the needs of our ageing population in future.

Afterwards I went to the allotment to plant a tree as part of the school’s drive to plant 1000 new trees. I am determined to make sure students at Fullhurst get the support they need and deserve, and to back the fantastic work at the school. This includes fighting the Governments proposal to cut £29,000 from their budget under the proposed new national funding formula for schools.
