Lisa Nandy, shadow civil society minister, and I have written a chapter for Compass’ latest pamphlet, ‘Finding our Voice – Making the 21st Century State’. We argue that it’s important for politicians to trust people, giving them more power to shape the public services they use, so that services can better meet their needs.
