Liz meets Leicester West’s African community

As a Member of Parliament my job is first and foremost to stand up for local people, from all the diverse communities in my constituency, and ensure their views and voices are heard.

Last week I hosted a meeting with members of the African community in Leicester West. We discussed a range of issues including representation of the African community in local and national politics, the need to help small businesses and ensure decent rights at work, and provide fair access to community services.

I’m going to be holding a series of meetings over the coming months to discuss these issues further and see what can be done to address them. If you would like to get involved please contact my office for more details.
