Liz welcomes praise from Ofsted boss for improvements in Leicester schools

On 20th June Sir Michael Wilshaw, the Chief Inspector of Schools In England, gave a speech on how to can make our education system truly world class.

I was to delighted to hear Sir Michael praise the transformation that has taken place in the performance of Leicester schools over recent years.

Local teachers, support staff, volunteers, students and the City Council deserve huge congratulations for their hard work and commitment. I also know there isn’t one ounce of complacency as we continue to work together to make even greater improvements in the months and years ahead.
