On Friday 11 December, I met with Leicester Students’ Union President, Rachel Holland and Deputy President of De Montfort Students’ Union, Amie Chapman.

As representatives for their fellow students, Rachel and Amie wanted to update me on the work they’re doing on Voter Registration, Maintenance Grants and to discuss the Higher Education Green Paper. Rachel and Amie raised a number of issues about the Green Paper which I will be putting to Ministers as part of the consultation process.

Student Unions do really important work providing support and campaigning for the rights of students across the country and I am pleased to support our two fantastic Student Unions in Leicester.
