Liz meets with Environmental Studies

I recently visited Environmental Studies, a local family run company that provides young people with skills, experience and practical knowledge in the land based sector and conservation.

Students carry out challenging and physical work like fencing, dry stone walling, tree felling and woodland management. They can get qualifications as well as develop their self-confidence and problem solving skills.

Environmental Studies is planning to expand their work, including with training in construction. Initiatives like this are vital to ensuring all young people get the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
