Dock, in Leicester West’s up and coming Pioneer Park, is a purpose built hub for high tech, low carbon and innovative businesses. Built with a £5.9 million investment from the European Union, City Council and Homes and Communities Agency, it offers 55 workspaces including offices, labs and workshops.
I held a meeting of my Leicester West Business Forum at the fantastic facility back in the summer but I dropped by again this week to catch up with the businesses and meet some of the newest tenants. Lewis Wright runs Viva IT, a young software development company that have really benefitted from the opportunities Dock provides to support business growth.
I’m backing innovative businesses like Viva IT because they’ll deliver the decent jobs we need to improve living standards, pay for public services and get our country’s deficit down.
