City Fans secure stadium as an “asset of community value”

Untitled

I’ve backed a campaign by the Foxes Trust to get Leicester City’s King Power Stadium officially listed as an asset of  community value.

I’m delighted that Leicester City Council have approved this application, which will allow fans time to put together a bid to buy the stadium themselves in the event that the current owners choose to sell up. This in turn reduces the risk of our club being forced to play games at another location, which could even be outside of the City.

Board members of the Foxes Trust, like Stuart Dawkins, do some terrific work on behalf of fans and the local community and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them.
