I was delighted to attend the University of Leicester’s Honorary Degree Ceremony for Tim Peake at the National Space Centre in Abbey Ward. The University of Leicester has a 55 year record of discovery in space science and every year since 1967, there has been a Leicester built instrument in space. Tim Peake has inspired so many school children to look at space and I’m proud the National Space Centre is in my constituency.
