On Wednesday 29th June, I joined campaigners from HeartLink at No 10 Downing Street to deliver their petition to keep children’s heart surgery at Glenfield Hospital. Heartlink is a charity that supports parents and families whose children suffer from a heart defect in the East Midlands, and they came to London to show the Government the huge support for Option A in the ‘Safe and Sustainable’ review – the only option which guarantees Glenfield’s unit remains open. The petition we delivered had been signed by over 103,000 people. It is still open – if you haven’t already done so, please show your support by signing it here.
