Anyone who has ever driven down Stephenson’s Drive in New Parks knows how awful the surface is and that too many cars drive too fast along the road, at risk to themselves and others.
That’s why I was delighted to join Steve Corrall, one of the local New Parks Councillors this November to break the first bit of concrete in preparation for the new road surface to be laid.
I also got the opportunity to talk to members of Leicester City Council’s highway team who will be working hard over the coming months to ensure we can all drive safely on even and pot-hole free roads.
