I recently attended the East Midlands Later Life Forum‘s “Ageing Positively” Conference, which was organised in Leicester in partnership with the ChangeAGEnts Network.
I spoke about the vital contribution care services and housing can make to improving people’s quality of life as they get older.
We had a really good discussion about how local councils, the NHS, housing providers and voluntary organisations can work together to provide better services and support. Many people also talked about the need to genuinely involve older people in designing services which help them stay fit, healthy and living independently in their own homes.
