On Wednesday 3rd May I officially launched my campaign to be re-elected as the MP for Leicester West. I love our city and I’ve always worked hard to put the interests of local people first. I’ll be asking for your support on June 8th to carry on doing just that.
My priorities for Leicester West are:
- You – I will always put local people first and fight your corner
- Good local jobs – Backing Leicester’s businesses to create more jobs that pay a decent wage
- Our NHS – Fighting to keep children’s heart surgery at Glenfield, for decent care for our older people and a fair pay rise for NHS staff
- Opportunities for young people – Championing great local schools and high quality apprenticeships
- Safe neighbourhoods –Tackling crime and anti-social behaviour; supporting our police and armed forces.
I was also delighted to have my campaign endorsed by Baroness Doreen Lawrence.
