Food and drink is the UK’s biggest manufacturing sector – larger than automotive & aerospace combined. So it was great to visit Walkers crisps in Leicester (who produce 11m crisp packets a day!) to discuss their skills needs, and meet local staff, apprentices and graduate trainees.

Such a special evening marking the 50th anniversary of Action Homeless. This superb organisation works tirelessly to break the cycle of homelessness and equip people with the tools they need to build a better life. Feel proud to have worked with them this last decade. Thank you.

It was a brilliant morning at the University of Leicester meeting and speaking with students in their final year of the Politics degree. It was a really good discussion with lots of challenging questions. Thanks to all the group for taking part!
