At the end of last year I held a further public meeting to discuss the noise, smells, traffic, dust, rats and flies affecting Wastecycle’s residential neighbours in Abbey. We were joined by the Environment Agency, Police, representatives from the Council’s Highways team and Wastecycle.
Wastecycle have pledged to continue to work with the residents on these issues and the Council have agreed to continue their work on improving road safety in the area.
There is still more work to be done and I will be holding another meeting in the spring for an update on the actions discussed. If you have concerns about these issues, or would like to attend the meeting, please do get in touch with my office either by writing to 42 Narborough Road, Leicester, LE3 0BQ, via email at liz.kendall.mp {at} parliament(.)uk or phone on 0116 2044980.
