On Thursday 8th September, I held a further meeting to give residents a chance to put forward their questions about plans for a new housing development on Blackbird Road Playing Fields direct to Barratt Homes and the City Council.
This follows my previous public meeting in July where I asked the Council to delay any progress on the application. This has been agreed and there is still time to submit your views to the Council. You can do this at www.leicester.gov.uk/planning
A number of residents voiced their concerns that the housing development would increase the traffic in the area, impact on local schools, GP surgeries and the natural environment. I will be raising these concerns with the City Council to ensure that they are given careful consideration and will continue to work closely on this issue.
