Earlier today I spoke with Gloria de Piero on GB News about the Government’s proposed changes to the cap on care costs.
Right now, ordinary people are seeing a rise in their taxes, without seeing anything back for it. They are not seeing a single extra minute of care for those who need it, and they are certainly not seeing family homes protecting from catastrophic care costs.
The poorest are going to be taxed more, to protect the wealthy.
Labour are calling for a ten-year plan of investment and reform. We need more money in the system – but we also need change.
