Liz calls for family members to be treated as key workers

I spoke to Holly and Phil on This Morning last week about the urgent need for family visits to resume in care homes. Labour are calling for family visitors to be treated as ‘key workers’, with access to regular testing and PPE, to recognise the role family members have in supporting care home residents’ mental health and wellbeing.

The Government’s own Carers Advisory Group highlighted the importance of resuming these visits – but the Government have not made this a priority.
