I’m backing New College School’s bid for funding from Sport England to become a Sports Village. The school wants to develop top class facilities for hockey, football, ruby and other sports which can be used by the local community, residents across the city, and the East Midlands region as a whole. It was great that the former Leicester Tigers and England rugby player Rory Underwood recently visited the school to show his strong backing for the bid too.
