I spoke to BBC Radio Leicester about what the Budget means for people in our city.
Unfortunately, it’s not good news. The Budget does nothing to tackle inflation, the cost of a weekly shop, or soaring energy prices. The Chancellor has instead announced the highest tax burden for 70 years.
By 2026, households will be paying £3,000 more in tax than they were before Boris Johnson became Prime Minister.
People are being asked to pay more, and get less back – and all because the Tories haven’t sorted out growth.
